Q: What types of projects does your firm specialize in?
A: We specialize in a wide range of project types including custom, luxury single-family homes, commercial developments (both large and small scale), multifamily housing, and adaptive reuse projects. Whether you’re building from the ground up or transforming an existing space, we tailor our design approach to meet your vision and needs.

Q: What markets do you serve?
A: We are licensed architects in both North Carolina and South Carolina, offering residential and commercial design services across both states. Our work spans from custom homes to mixed-use and adaptive reuse projects, with plans to expand further into the Southeast region.
Q: What services are included in your fee?
A: Our core, basic services include architectural and structural design for residential projects, and architectural, structural, and MEP design for commercial work. We also offer additional services such as interior design, 3D renderings, construction administration, and sustainable design consulting, including LEED certification.

Q: Do you offer both design and project management services?
A: Yes. In addition to architectural design, we provide project coordination and construction administration services. We work closely with consultants, contractors, and permitting agencies to ensure your project progresses smoothly from concept through construction.

Q: How early should we bring in an architect?
A: As early as possible! Engaging an architect at the start of your project allows for better planning, cost estimating, and coordination. We can help you evaluate a site or space, determine project feasibility, and create a strategic design path before any construction begins.

Q: How long does a typical project take?
A: Timelines vary by project type and scope. A custom home may take three to six months for design and permitting, followed by construction. A commercial or multifamily project may take longer (or not!) depending on scope, scale, and complexity. During our initial conversations, we’ll help assess a realistic timeline.
Q: Do you offer consultations before starting a project?
A: Of course. We offer a free, 30-minute initial consultation to learn more about you, your project, and to answer your questions – this helps us determine if we’re a good fit for your project needs.

A: Adaptive reuse is the process of repurposing existing buildings for new uses. It allows us to preserve architectural character while meeting modern needs—often with environmental and economic benefits. We’re passionate about breathing new life into existing structures.

A: Yes. We have experience with historic preservation, building upfits, change of use, and code upgrades. We work to honor the character of a building while improving performance, safety, and functionality.
